lt1 swap but not what you think

hey guys,

i have a 95 v6 camaro 3.4

i was things of swaping a lt1 in.... i've owned a 383 lt1 before and i got rid of it because i wanted another car (the one i own) but i'm looking at the chance of a swap...in the future..

i hate reverse flow heads.... i at the opti.... in my old engine i converted to a rear mounted dizzy...

my questions is.... can i use a regualer sbc block likea 92 tpi NON LT1 and throw on the opti and lt1 intake after i modify it to fit ( lt1intakes.com)...

my concerns are with the timing cover mainy... since i know i can install a lt1 intake on a older sbc after i modify the bolt locations for the heads...

Changing to a sbc and transfering the week parts of the LT1 like the stock intake and opti. I would put in a fuel injected single plane and use a regular distributer.

i agree, just drop a carbureted or TBFI system in and go with it, changing what you want is muuuuuuch more work, especially seeing how the LT1 waterpump is driven by your timing gears and with a driveshaft and a regular SBC is driven by a belt, im sorry to say it, but i dont see it working out for you.
