Hutch's Transmission Service (519)-453-4318

If not Hutch, then it's Carl Rossler http://www.rosslertrans.com/

S.J.S., were you replying to me? My car is in my sig. I was saying if I pulled my engine out and took it over to them. So, $6000? I was hoping it wouldn't be more than $3000... Guess that shows how much I know!

If you want a stroker (with forged internals) short block will be around from either place, mckay's or Hp factory look to spend $2500-$3200. If you dont need forged parts then it will be less. Something to think about I only have a little over $4200 in my engine(includes heads), transmission, and misc. like injectors...

Cool. Now that I can do. I really don't know the difference in forged or not, But if it has to do with strength, then I will probably want to go with it because I will want to be able to use N2O.

If your ultimate go isnt over 150 to 175 shot of nitrous then a cast steel crank will suffice, but the rods and pistons should be forged.

Put your money in your heads after the shortvlock is built, do not skimp on head quality.

Re: LT1 Stroker ???'s..

If you only hvae about 2 grand top work with I would get some LT4 castings ported will be right around 2 if you have more get the Airflow Research (AFR) 210 cc heads for the LT1 and have them ported by a competant porter (several on site that people like). This will cost about 700 to a grand more, but will be well worth it. Then after you get the heads have a custom cam ground for it all (about 350$).

That's a tough one. If you were in Sac, Ca I would say PTS @ (916) 739-0510 but you aren't. Check this link:

And chose the closest one.

Re: LT1 Stroker ???'s..

A company will make a camshaft to complement your shortblock (ci, rod length, compression), head (how well they flow), transmission (manual or auto, stall size), car (type and weight of car).

This will really get the most out of your set-up.

Re: LT1 Stroker ???'s..

I just happened to have a Lunati custom grind cam, ported heads, and ported intake, that are designed to go on a stroked (383) bottom end. PM me for details if interested. The setup is nice for a street car but is a little too mild for me to reach my goals.

I would have replied a few days ago but, my internet was down. I think for the money I would get your stockers ported my Lloyd or buy a set Trick Flows. If you want to just build the same thing that I did, send me a pm and Ill give you an exact list of what I have and the cheapest places to get it.
