.in a dilimma of sorts. Have lost LT1 steam vent bolts GM P/N#12552974 in engine rebuild. Now can't seem to be able to find replacements anywhere. Parts outlets,...dealers nationwide, all say none in stock. Does anyone have any "work-around" solution or advice/suggestions? These two bolts go on the rear of theengine block and vent excess steam though tubes to the container .Anyone know if anything from maybe the plumbing department at the hardware store will work,..thread pitch,..brass,.whatever, .etc. Desparate to locate anything -TIA

 

1/4 pitch is the plugs for the steam pipe in the back of the heads. Why you in such a hurry, all the dealers in my area get parts next day?

You could make a new tube using .25 pipe fittings, one 90 degree and one T, some braided hose, a 90 degree angle tube and a little cash. It's very strong and looks really cool. I went to a local fitting store and they made one for me.
