LT1 running rich

I am new to the Lt1 world. I have just completed a 94 LT1 swap in a 87 Monte Carlo SS. The enginr runs great but it seems to be running rich. I have a 160 degree thermastat and programed the computer to turn the fan on at 170. I have just checked some gas milage as well and I was driving half hwy and half city and calculated 14 MPG. I have 373 posi and a 200r4 trans. The engine has 80k on it and I have not replaced the o2's yet but I have installed new plugs and wires. The car seems to idle smooth most of the time but sometimes it seems to act like it is loading up. I am asking for some suggestions on a possible fix.

Thanks

Welcome to the board...
Your best bet is to replace the O2's and see how that goes. LT1's were programmed to run a little rich right from the factory, so the real only cure to that would be to have a dyno tune done.

I bet that LT1 sure is alot more fun then the gutless 305 that replaced it
