LT1 rebuild (new to LT1's)

This is my first post, I have done alot of searching and reading...so here goes.
And yes I have read all the newbie facts, I am a carb guy from 20 years ago and new to modding computer controlled cars...

I have a 4 Z28 about 97000 miles, just purchased about 4 months ago..The body and interior are absolutely perfect. magnaflow exhaust CAI. it runs really good but we all need more power. I was thinking of rebuilding the top end only.
1.6 crane RR's, push rods,LT4 type cam, new oil pump, injectors, fuel pump, heads ported and rebuilt with the works and headers.

With all that said..is it a good idea to spend the extra money on all new sensors? even if the SES light has never come on?

Also, thinking of delteq and of course a PCM reprogram, Can this all be done in florida for 3500? Any guidance is welcome and thanks in advance

If you're paying for labor and parts, I don't see any way at all you can get what you listed for a total of $3500.

The only sensors I would replace are the oxygen sensors.

A few things I read over in your list that I think you can do without-

injectors and fuel pump- even running pig rich my stock injectors and fuel pump kept up fine. In all honesty the injectors were running 92% duty cycle, but since the car could have benefitted from being leaned out a little I think the stockers would have been sufficient. If you splurge for a truly badass set of ported heads you may need bigger injectors. If you can give us a better idea of who will be doing the work on the heads we can help you more...

oil pump- why would you think you need to replace your pump?? Unless there is an obvious oiling problem (in which case you'd want to look into rebuilding your bottom end also) I would leave well enough alone.

I fully agree with FastZ. Also I see no reason to replace pushrods. You will need guideplates unless you use self aligning rockers. You will also need valve springs with any cam swap (and even a rocker swap IMO).
