lt1 rebuild
has anyone ever purchased one of the engine master rebuild kits off jegs?? im setting my 95 z28 a4 up really just for street and maybe the occasional track run in the summer. maybe sum boost or spray down the road, or if there is another rebuild kit out there for around the same price. whats yalls opinions? i have 3.73s to put in, suspension is still stock which everything will be upgraded soon, for the tranny im going to have rebuilt with 3000+ stall, so what yall think
I don't think I seen many rebuild kits that were specific for the LT1 when I was building mine. I know summit had one, forget who made it. I just bought all my parts except for the valves and push rods which needed to be measured by the builder.
When you get the transmission rebuilt, take it to a good builder. Do not take it to some backwoods builder who everyone in town says did good on their minivan.
If your going to add boost, make sure its lower compression, and forged pistons at the very least.
If going nitrous, compression does not matter really, just make sure you can run it on pump gas, unless you want to run it on race gas. Forged pistons, again.
