LT1 PCV question

LT1s have a PCV that runs from the front of the intake to the side of the manifold which vents the lifter valley ie the crankcase. Why is there a vent hose from the throttle body to the valvecover? i don't understand the need for it?

Id like to eliminate it if possible....

Re: LT1 PCV question

The hose from the throttle body to the valve cover is an intregal part of the PCV/CCV system. That's where the air being drawn into the system comes from. Injuneer has posted many detailed explanations of the system that should be able to be found with a search.
