My car doesn't seem to carry much oil pressure. It has about 20 at idle which is fine, but NEVER gets above 35-40, no matter how much I rev it. Think it needs some bearings? No funny noises from the bottom end, just the Comp lifters. Is this normal? I run Mobil 1.

 

that is normal oil pressures with a lt1. the pressure regulator is set for 40 psi. unless a high pressure spring is installed
