LT1 oil pans?

I know you have to buy a new oil pan for a stroker, but are there any others available than the 280 dollor canton. Trying to save a little money here. Thanks

I just did mine last weekend. I covered the inside with blueing, bolted it on and turned over the motor a few times. I had to clearance the sides were the rods touched and on the bottom in the front of the pan. just take your time and it won't look too bad. Besides you can't see it when it's in the car.

In my opinion, just spend the money and save yourself the trouble on down the road. I am having to rebuild my motor now because of oil starvation and it was a stock bottom end. If you gonna spend the cash for a stroker, then drop the extra $$$$ for the insurance that it we be supplied with plenty of oil.
