Question LT1 Nitrous Plate Question?

I want to get one of the Nitrous Outlet plates. I all ready have a bottle and solenoids.
My question is the plate comes in two sizes 52mm and 58mm.
As far as I can remember the stock throttle body is "48"?
If that's the case do I need to open the intake manifold to match either the 52mm or the 58mm plate?
If that's the case I would get the 58mm that way down the road if I change the throttle body I could get either the 58mm or the 52mm and there won't be a bottleneck.
what do yaw think?

Re: LT1 Nitrous Plate Question?

The intake manifold should already be 52MM. You should only have to machine the manifold if you want to move up to a 58MM throttle body. You could buy a 52MM throttle body, or just buy the 52MM plate and use the stock throttle body.
