Unhappy Re: LT1 needs head gaskets replaced

it started with just loosing a little water . I checked everything from heater core to water pump and radiator cap. it just keep getting worse then finally it must of blew and it overheated. before i could get to a safe place the valves started to rattle so im hoping the head didn't crack...

Also i know what pimped out means by while your at it.. But i'm going to leave it stock and see how many more miles i can get out it before i go any deeper.. I have a 68 camaro that i realy want to build. But i love the way this 95 z28 runs and drives. So this is my everyday car.

Thanks again for all the input .. I feel more confident about tackling this job..

Re: LT1 needs head gaskets replaced

Im finally and slowly taking the heads off my LT1. what is the best way to deal with the feul rail . remove the lines and leave it on the intake or remove it from the intake and swing it out of the way or remove it altogether??

Thanks in advance

you sound like a "victim" also....

Yeah, if you have that disconnect tool just remove the 2 lines and take it out with the intake as a unit.

96-97 LT1's used torque to yield head bolts from the factory.
