LT1-to-LT4 conversion kit

I'm looking to buy this LT1-to-LT4 conversion kit from summitracing.com
but it says fits "Chevrolet:1996-97 5.7L LT1"
I have a 1994 Z28, can I still use this kit?
why does it say 96'-97' ain't thay all the same LT1's?

here is the link http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...erformance+lt1

Re: LT1-to-LT4 conversion kit

What would be the difference between the 1994 LT1 and the 1996 LT1 that would make it so i cant install the LT1-to-LT4 kit ?

I am going to make a big guess.. the difference is with the opti-spark and the stuff relating to it. You'd likely have to convert to a vented 95.5-97 opti. I could be way off here but if you figure out what changes that requires you might get your answer. I hope someone else here can help you more.

I think it has to do with the EGR or AIR system but I'm not sure.

Re: LT1-to-LT4 conversion kit

I have the kit (and it is for sale, if interested). The only thing is the dowel pin on the cam is too long, it is made for the longer dowel pin (95-97). You can use the kit just fine, you can push the pin back in some and it will work fine.

That is all that has to be done to get it to work.

Let me know if you are interested in mine, maybe we can work a deal out.
