Lt1 intake question

Ok so my buddy is bolting on parts to his lt1 and he purchased a bbk 58mm throttle body and he did a custom port job to the intake to match the throttle body , but he grinded the the center metal inbetween the 2 holes in the intake. I asked him why he did this and he said he purchased a nitrous plate to go between the throttle body and the intake and he said that plate would act as the center piece of metal .. is this gonna effect the way the car idled or anything ?

Re: Lt1 intake question

I dont think it will affect it then, the throttle body will be blocking the air from that part anyways. Ive seen them ported like that before.

I've seen this type of port job but only with a monoblade TB. Either way it shouldn't matter.
