lt1 intake only good to 6000rpm

The guy at comp cams told me that the stock lt1 intake is only good to 6000 rpm's, Is this true?

so if you get a 427 its only good to 6000rpm on our intakes aswell? If you get heads its only good to 6000rpm aswell? There is a flaw in his logic I'm sorry but my AFGS keep rising all the way up to 7000rpm & drastically, so obviosly the intake isn't the restriction at those RPM's, on a stock car my best AFG's were 240 or so with headers, with my combo I hit 371 best to date, intake is only opened up to 58mm the ports are stock

It is about airflow (cfm), not rpm.

Depends on who's doing the porting...

Exactly! But there is a limit on how much good you can do. The ideal way would be to raise the port roof some more, but unfortunately you can't do that without reaching daylight... ...not a good thing. But you can still open up the top of the intake manifold runners and taper them to the port exit and gasket match.
