lt1 intake oil leak cause?

lt1 intake oil leak cause?
I had my lt1 intake that's going on my 85TA mocked up on my motor the other day, and it wouldn't fit. So i started checking clearances and....
The rear of the intake where the distributor is on a typical SBC isn't flat! Mine was obvously cast that way, as it had never been machined on the rear, just the intake flanges (causing the rear to bottom on the valley rail). I took it to the machine shop and had it flattened out, it was off by .095 inches, almost 3/32 inches, when checked with the straightedge. Anyone else check theirs when they fixed their oil leak?
