LT1 heads help please

hey guys, im still lookin around for a decent pair of heads for my lt1, i have the cc306 cam in it, and i dont want to run my stock heads with it... and i cant afford the port jobs around here..

Anyone know any more affordable heads for the lt1 that flow pretty well? Flow patterns near the LT4 heads at least, or whatever you guys think is good for the price, havin a hard time shoppin around for heads.. ive been looking at alot of heads with great flow and etc..

Heres the specs ive got in my eyes :aluminum.. affordable. around 200cc intake port volume. stainless steel valves , intake valve size at least 2.00 exaust valve size at least 1.55 and combustion chambers at least 64cc. .. unless this is bad oh yea, and work well with my cc306

thanks alot

im willing to buy good heads bare , and buy part by part to finish them.. im willing to spend $600 bare, or $1000 complete

im thinkng bare would be better for me right now, so that i can buy the other parts a bit later and get better parts, etc...

but around that level of cash.. i want to get the heads pretty soon even if they are bare, im actually starting to think im better off buying them bare.. what do you think?

For the LT1, you aren't going to find a new pair of heads for less than ~$1200. It is much much cheaper to get the stock ones ported.

well ok , i dont mind spending money, $1300 is my range :P ... but anything that gives great flow and power for a good amount of money is what im lookin for.. but like i said id perfer to get them bare and start from there.. so it shouldnt be $1000 bare, that would mean im not buying an affordable head ;/ or hope not

The only company which I know makes bare LT1 heads is AFR, and their BARE heads cost around $1200 for the LT1s. Reverse cooling complicates things and makes them expensive.

For around $1000 , you can get the ported LT1 heads with 2.00/1.56 " valves by Lloyd Elliott, and his heads seem to perform very well. That is how I would spend my money.

You send your heads out to him, and he works his magic on them I think he is in Texas, his screen name on this board is Nighttrain66 or something like that. Just do a search under Lloyd Elliott, and you will find all kinds of stuff out about his work. He doesn't have a website, your best bet is to PM him and talk to him. Good luck.
