lt1 headers

i need some long tubes for my third gen. its got an lt1 in it. will any thirn gen long tube bolt up correctly to the lt1?

any recommendations for which ones on the third gen?

pacesetter lt's might squeeze by, ive heard of guys doing that w/ some modification. just my opinion though.

You will need to stay with the 3rd gen specific header. The Hooker 2210 headers will work or Hedman makes headers for these applications as well. With the 2210's, be prepared to modify a few things. Check the thirdgen.org website for a nice writeup on the 2210 headers. Good luck!

those hookers ar more expensive than the fourth gens. do i have any other options? ive been looking and thats all i can find.

shortys are a dime a dozen but i really wont get a nice result from then like i would long tubes.

any third gen Long tube will work, I recommend thick flanges though, the only diff from a regular SBC to the LT1 exhaust port wise is the LT1 has "D" shaped ports

that really shouldnt make a difference then. lt1 headers dont have D- shape primaries so its all the same then. good

but, who else makes them? i cant find any. i found a decent looking, what seems to be mid length style from flowtech. ive been searching with no avail. who else makes third gen long tubes? or am i stuck with the hookers?

flowtech did at one time make long tubes for a 3rd gen. thats what I had in my 82 pace car.
