LT1 flywheel question

i am replacing the clutch and was woundering what you guys think of resurfacing the flywheel. herd somewhere you should just go out and buy a new one unless you really cant afford it. but buying one is recommended. is this true

Buy a new one or resurface. If you read the clutch warranty, or a repair manual, they'll both tell you you need to have a smooth surface for the clutch to break in properly. Supposedly, if you get a decent amount taken off you may need to buy spacers that go between the crank and the flywheel to make up the difference.

I resurfaced my original flywheel with no issues.
