LT1 Edit??

I've got some engine problems that seem to be in the ignition system somewhere and i am looking into getting software to scan the computer. I was looking at the autotap scan tool software and it seems that i'll have a lot of flexability to read almost any parameter the computer is monitoring and i will have the capability of resetting codes and it would be a good diagnostic tool to have. I would also like to have the ability to reprogram the air/fuel mixture and make some tweaks to things, possibly even the fan temp on/off values. LT1 Edit will allow me to tune it but does anyone know if it will allow me to monitor the other parameters that autotap will?? will it allow me to reset codes and do almost anything to the computer?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

There is no "monitor" mode to LT1 Edit. You download the stock program, modify it as necessary, and reflash the PCM with the new program. Because the program in the PCM gets erased when you reflash it, I would assume any codes that were being stored would be wiped out.

Lt1_edit is a programmer.

Autotap is a diagnostic tool.

Two different things.

It is pretty much a necessity to have the diagnostics tool so you can see what the programming changes did. So, you need both.
