LT1 Durability

Yo

The LT1 can handle traveling and all that good stuff right? Lets say a real long distance travel from like NJ to SC? Lets say the engine has about 110k on it...

A well maintained car can go anywhere. There are numerous 200k+ LT1s out there.

140,000. No smoke, no choke, no click, no tick.....blah blah blah.

Dude, it's an LT1. LT1s don't blow up.

If you're that concerned, take a plane ride instead.

Yo

Yea right... haha I was just curious because my g/f and a few other family members went driving down to South Carolina and I was wondering if I had my Formula if I could drive it down with them without any bullish problems... but thanks for the information.

140000, several road trips, no oil leaks, and still going strong :-)

150,000 plus on mine and I'd take it ANYWHERE. Never think twice about it. Obviously, the more miles and the less done to it, the greater your odds that something will break, but hey, new cars break too.

I met a local guy here with a Iron headed LT1 in his Cadillac, I cant remember the name of the car...

Anyways, he had 380,000 miles on the car, modded to 340hp (from 260hp) and was still using the stock opti. He had driven across the country on numerous occasions.
