is the lt1 in the cop car just as good as the lt1 in the camaro ? are there any differences ? Thanks !

lc4 caprices were rated at 240 or 265, i forget which, and the only reason was because they had more restrictive exhausts and/ or intakes

the police caprices 94-96 had a steel headed LT1, slightly less HP and different powerband(heavier car)and had the same 3.48 stroke of all SBC 350's

the 3" stroke was the 4.3L L99 V8, known as the "baby LT1"

police camaros had a regular LT1 in it, was pretty much a Z28 in a RS body


the RPO for the police caprice was 9C1
the RPO for the police camaro was B4C


and LO5 was the engine RPO for a gen 1 TBI 350

my mistake i have a lo5 9c1 lol, bubba they are great cars if you get a fbi one like mine it was used by one guy not a fleet car

well I can get one for real cheap and My dad was thinking about putting it in a chevy Vega. I know you think chevy vega as in cheap POS ! but my dads vega is set up to be a street legal drag car. its actually pretty damn nice. He has a bored + stroked 383 for it but doesnt want to put it in just yet.
