lt1 conversion need help please

this is a lt1 conversion im trying to put into my 69 camaro. i took
the motor, acc ,trans, wiring harness, comp, fuse block, etc...from a running police car.i'm stuck and i need some help,
the problem is in the fuel circuit. with the fuel pump disconnected and spraying carb cleaner, she will run all day. i'm running a in-tank 255l walbro pump (i got this from jegs. its brand new)but its for a mustang. this fuel pump should be a universal pump but i may be wrong. could the pulse be different? the black wire from the pump is to ground, the red wire from the pump is to a light gray (16 gauge)wire that goes to fuse panel connected to the computer. the only wire not hooked up is the blue (22 gauge) wire. i think this wire is suppose to be hooked to the fuel gauge. we tryed to power the light gray wire direct but it still does the same (runs for 3 seconds then dies). any thoughts would really help. thanks, willie

Willie....Ive done 5 conversions into Jeeps with LT1's three of the 5 times the fuel lines were crossed at the rails, trying to send fuel into the return has about a 99.99 persent of not running
the pump will shut off after pressure is built up, before it is started. You might check the fuel regulator, using the Accel rail pressure guage, or whatever you choose to check the pressure.
Also verify the fuel return line is not plugged and returning fuel to the tank. Youll kick yourself in the *** when you find somethong simple to fix the problem. Good luck, and stay away fro those friggin ford parts!!!!!

so the first thing that cuts out is the injector pulse. i'm thinking its in the wiring. we checked and double checked all the easy stuff. i'm using a stock harness but no aldl. thats why we are having so much trouble.

If im not mistaken this is what happens when the vats code has not been deactivated on the computer. Starts detects the code isn't there and cuts the fuel off. Has it be vats been removed?

Don't know about the police cars not having VATS, but I wouldn't mind programming the pcm for you as long as it is OBD1. No charge, but you would have to pay shipping round trip. Just helping out another person who is a glutton for punishment. When I setup my car, I couldn't get it working because I didn't have the wires hooked up properly and so I had to buy a suplemental ac to dc power source to program it sitting by my computer.

I am in no way a professional at this, which would be why I would not wish to charge you for it. Sorry, can't make this offer to everybody.
