LT1 Block

Hey guys i bought LT1 block my question is or there any numbers or marking on it that tell what year it is 93/94 or different from 96/97 i think

does it still have the opti on it? if it does the 93-94 will no be vented where as the 95-97 will be vented and have vaccume lines running to it. i also thing the 95-97's didnt come with oil coolers .

The only difference is gonna be between a LT1 2-bolt main or 4-bolt main, which came with the LT4, IIRC. Everything else should be the same.

Corvette LT1 engines were also 4 bolt mains.

The 4-bolt block was not unique to the LT4, it was used in all Corvettes from 1992 to 1996, including the Corvette LT4's that were built only in 1996.

There is a shortened form of the original car's VIN stamped at the back of the block. That might give you insight into the year of the car it was originally installed in. Shoebox has a photo of where the VIN derivative is located.
