LT1 air intake silencer

First question does anyone know where I can get a "plug" for this?? and second can I just pull it off and not worry, or would that be hurting the car more than helping?

Just use a pert plus cap, or if you're creative, you can make one out of the existing silnecer like I did Or, you can pay an unreal amount of money to buy a plug, or spend about 50 dollars to buy the 1LE elbow

I cut mine off to fit my electric water pump. I just cut it and loaded it with electrical tape and sealled it off. Everything seems to be running the same.

I went the more expensive route and bought a $35 plug from www.ThunderRacing.com

All the resonator tube does is lower the incoming air noise level--but I can't really notice a difference without it.

BTW, when you say "can I just pull it off and not worry..." you do mean pull it off and plug it up with no worries, correct?

I wnet ahead and bought the 1LE elbow from Jason Cromer and was done with it....my elbow had a split at the TB end, anyway, so I was due for a new one....the 1LE elbow feels like a different material than the stock elbow, maybe it will last longer...you can get the 1LE from Cromer for about $40 plus shipping....
