lt1/4l60e in a 82 caprice
So i recently started working on this sleeper, motor and tranny are in g force cross member is in, driveshaft, and column shift
are in.
time to do some wiring i just have a few questions, i got all the wiring from shoebox's site, but i was wondering what a few of the connections are looking for or what i should do with them. please help guys.

A Orange/Black Traction control system spark retard ?
C Tan/Black Traction control system throttle position?
E Tan Serial data signal

A Purple Theft deterrent relay to starter solenoid feed
B Black/White Ground feed to fuel pump relay
D Red Feed from fuel pump and fuel pump relay to prime connector

E Dk Blue Theft deterrent-fuel enable feed
h Lt Blue/BlackBrown (Automatic) TCC switched power feed
J Orange/BlackLt Green (Automatic) Park/neutral feed from transmission range switch (V8 VIN P only)
K Purple Output field service enable

Cavity Wire Color Description
A Grey 5v reference signal from PCM
B Dk Blue Sensor feed to PCM
C Black Ground feed from PCM
These are the only ones i dont really know what the computer needs, if i dont connect the traction control etc.... or theft stuff is this gonna cause problems? if i get all these things wired i think she should start right up

Ok I'll try to help, I just finished putting an LT1 in a 91 S-10 .

B Black/White Ground feed to fuel pump relay , ECM Provided Ground for small side of Fuwl pump relay
D Red Feed from fuel pump and fuel pump relay to prime connector , Was grey on mine with same purpose, it is Y-ed to the wire that goes back to the fuel pump.

I know that my harness is a 94 and some of the wires may have different purposes between the two years.

If you have the vats module that was under the dash you can measure the resistance at the base of the steering column with the key in and put that size resistor inline (white wires out of the Vats module) if you dont have a vats module you can have it removed via tuning , any after market tuner like PCM for less for instance can remove it, or you can do like I did and buy tunercat and remove it yourself.
Youll need the aldl connector and power to the ECM, along with a cable that can hook from your laptop computer to the ALDL.
Or if you have a LT1 f-body you can put the computer you want to tune in it and hook your laptop to it to flash it.

what does the vats module look like, cause i have the key and can find the resistance.

I would either just get the pcm reprogrammed, or buy the vats module from painless wiring, jegs and summit both carry it I believe. Trying to keep the vats module and play games with that and your only asking for trouble.
