LT checklist...

hey,

so i've decided on the jet-hot long tubes, ordering probably this weekend. my question is this: i'll list what i have down to order and any comments on what else to do is appreciated. thanks!

-headers (duh...)
-felpro gaskets from thunderraing
-stage 8 bolts
-plugs and wires
-02 extension (one, for the 94)

am i missing anything? do i have something i dont really need? and input appreciated, thanks again.

Oh and as for your go away CAGS, just unplug it, its a 94, stick a 2.2k ohm resistor in there, good to go.

What exactly is the CAGS? And what does OVC stand for?

Over Valve Cover wires

bottom of page.... without them you more than likely will get a burnt wire from the headers.... i highly recommend it

CAGS is in a M6 car when it has the "first to fourth" shift. Its when you have to shift into fourth gear directly from first if you don't rev past a certain point. Disabling it just makes driving more enjoyable. OVC is "over the valve cover" which as said before is how spark plug wires are run to keep them from burning when headers have been installed.

EDIT : I recommend not changing the O2 sensors until a few weeks after the header install. The coating from the headers being burned off will ruin the new sensors. Leave the old ones in for a while.

Ah, thanks a lot! I was kinda clueless about those for a while. I am about to put my long tubes on in a couple of weeks and they are ceramic coated. I just got taylor wires put on it 5 months ago and was hoping to leave them on there. Not sure what to do really. Money is tight...

Just a heads up on your '94, you will only need 1 O2 extension. The other 02 hooks up fine without it.

Re: LT checklist...

FWIW I put in fresh 02's when I did my headers and didnt have any problems......

Its my understanding that the Jet-Hot coating is pretty bulletproof, and wont cook off....
