Those are promagnums in the pics. They clear with absolutely no problems at all. I got them at my local Chevrolet dealership, however, scoggin dickey, jegs, gm partsdirect and a billion other online retail stores sells them. They are actually made by Proform. I got them for like $120+tax. They don't leak a drop of oil from any of the holes.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page for more pics of my engine.

And ya, they will work with LT1 heads. Corvette LT1/LT4 use them.

Not so. They are the same height as the stockers.

AsianSensation, those look pretty good, they go great with the fuel rail covers.

So Shoebox, since these are stock height, would they clear 1.6 RR w/GM847 cam, (.595 lift on exhaust side)? I don't have it now, but will in the future.

They look much larger than the stock ones from the car shows I've been too.

I couldn't tell you. I really don't know how much room there is on inside height. My gut feeling is that they would clear just about anthing you put inside 'em. Clearance problems with stock covers is usually not height, but the webbing that is inside them for side clearance of wider rocker arms (like CC Pro Mags). The LT4s are roomier in that regard.

Don't know how you can tell anything about height from those pics and those 'vette covers are not LT4 covers, anyway.

I have measured them. They are the same height. Not something I saw at a car show.

Thier the magnisium covers but they are bigger. The LT-4 covers have more clearance..most of the Vette Valve covers GM put out have more clearance for the rockers. Thats the only pics I can find of a Close up engine comparison.

I have just measure them also. The composite and stamped valve covers are the same height.

But I will say the composite valve covers sits a little higher because there's a gasket channel/groove on the stamped valve cover. The lip of the heads falls inside of the stamped cover gasket channel/groove, if that makes any sense. On the composite valve cover, the valve cover gasket protudes out from the composite valve cover channel/groove and the lip of the head does not fall inside of the gasket channel/groove (at least, that's the way it sits on my AFR LT4 heads). The gasket is a different design too.

From memory, the composite valve cover seems to be roomier inside. But that's really from the webbing or lack of webbing on the composite valve cover design.

I know Summit sells something that allows you to use any side bolt SBC valve cover on centerbolt heads, I believe it is about $100
