LT-1 vibration, ticking, random mis pls. help

Hey all,
I've done tons of searching on this but still can't pin it down. The cars throwing the P0300 random multiple misfire code. The plugs, wires, and opti are all under 2 yrs old. There is also a heavy vibration and a ticking sound that seems to be coming from the top of the motor (when driving it's like its right behing the dash.) The problem is worse under load (accelerating and AC). I did the wires myself so it's very possible one or more is now burnt. Before I go the plugs, wires, coil, opti route is there anything mechanical (especially up top) that can cause the random mulitple missfire code? It's a stock 97 lt-1 with a 1 yr old tranny. Any help would be appreciated as MANY of you know this is a very frustrating problem

Vibration, ticking, miss...sounds like classic symptoms of an arcing plug wire.
