LT-1 Swap into a 3rd Gen

well my friend, if he says what he says he will is going to be getting a 350 LT-1 out of a later model camaro..

the engine has alunium heads, tuned port fuel injection and so on..

its going in a 3rd gen camaro that has a 305 TBI engine in it.. the swap, (which from the looks of it will be done in my front yard) should be pretty straight foward....

the only problem that this engine has right now it that it needs rod and main bearings, and we dont know if he has the wiring harness. he says he has the computer, but i might need a computer and wiring harness.. do you know where he could find this stuff? i suggested ebay...

when i do the rod and main bearings should the cam bearings be done to? i can get the tool for the cam bearings from a friend.. and last question (until i can think of more) is when we change the bearings should i have the crank turned or anything done to the crank?

well thanks for any help/suggestions

You can pick up a computer on the for sale section here for around $100-$150 I'm not sure on the price of a wiring harness but people are always parting cars out there, probably under $100 I'd guess. I've havn't rebuilt the bottom end on mine yet but I would think it would be a good idea to change cam bearings if you are replacing the rest at the same time. And while you're at it throw a hotcamkit on it, you'll be glad you did!
