Does anyone make a LS1 style CAI for an LT1 car? I have seen them on a few cars and was wondering if someone makes a kit.

 

What would I need to add to this to make it work?

a hood, thats where it won't have space. A few people have done the LS air lids conversions on LTx and there were no big gains over the regular CAI

 

People are doing this with the mentality that it has to be better because its on an LS1 with no real proof yet. And most people that do it are half assing it. The last person on ls1tech that did it just let the air filter sit on the radiator and condensor and the lid just rested ontop of the air filter .

 

I've seen someone with the volant cai for the ls1 on an lt1, that would be the the only one I'd try to use on an lt1

 

So it's not worth messing with it I take it? I just kinda wanted to get the air from somewhere higher up. Maybe I will just go with the SLP one.
