I hace heard the Ls1 is the superior motor and all since it is newer and it breathes better up top, But I am a Lt1 fan nonetheless but my question is because of the better breathing at high rpm more power is put out by the ls1 so with a heads upgrade this will lose the gap in performance between the 2 cars correct.

 

yes it would but not needed untill you get all your bolts ons done. When upgrading to better heads u would be better off upgrading your cam to match the heads.

A set of long tube headers with a good flowing exhaust system and cold air induction will put u right up there with the stock ls1's if not ahead.

 

kind of a vauge question. It really just depends on personal preferance, your goals for the car that the motor is in, and how much money you have.

In stock trim the LS1 does make more power. But they are more expensive to mod. The LT1 in stock trim will be less powerfull but you can help it along for less money.
