I broke my pinion gear in my 97 SS and I need my car back on the road tomorrow. The old rearend is out and I'm going to pick up an ls1 rearend in the morning and swap the whole rear instead of buying new gears and waiting to have them setup. I've searched around and it looks like I'll need my backing plates and axles if I keep my brakes, correct? What about my emergency brake, is everything going match up with that? Also is it gonna matter if the new rear has TCS and my car doesn't? Thanks for the help guys!
