ls1 lid on lt1 need help !!

ls1 lid on lt1 need help !!

i searched for about an hour and could not find any pics on how to install or any write ups on how to do it any help would be cool thank you

Ah you don't unless you're changed to an LS1 front end and have bought the airbox as well. Also you would have needed to fab up a piece of your intake to connect the round MAF opening to an LT1 throttle body.

cutting/hacking search for ls1 lid...there are plenty of threads on it and it doesen't do anything...thats why it isn't very popular...plus all of them are hack jobs

It does do something if you have the 02 SS Conversion front end and have the functional hood, did me a whole 15-30 hp of nothing LOL. I got pics, look for Mike96z on cardomain.

lol his car has never run a 10.12...or a 10 period...hes been beaten by bolt on ls1...o0o and he claims that he makes that power on motor...with heads ported by his dad...with stock valves!

did you change the hole front clip or you just make it work and if you just made it work plz do tell how you did it

this is how he was able to do it and make it look neat ,1996 Formula WS6 . his hood has clearance for it . a z28 hood does not. you can buy a few different hoods that allow a ls1 setup to fit there.

mines a hack job, but its under a stock hood, i just had to make a custom "crossmember" out of square tubing and paint to match

i am getting the ss hood will it fit under that ??

nope... just like stated above... My WS6 hood has the clearance for the lid. Though I had to shave off of the bottom a bit
