LS1 exhaust

I hate to ask this, but I'm gonna.
Can get a MAC catback off of a 99 Formula and was wondering if it would work for me?

I believe that the LS1 exhaust is similar to the 96/97 cars in that it has a slip fit. I haven't actually swapped an LS1 exhaustthough. You will at a *minimum* need to get an Spipe fabbed up or purchase one from summit. http://www.personal.psu.edu/users/b/...elSPipesml.JPG
That is a custom one that was fabbed up using mandrel elbows.

That's doable, I just wonder if there's more involved. You know how you have buy an install kit when buying the Loudmouth which is for the LS1.

Ya, I'm pretty sure it's just the hangers that are different

It will work. The left side hanger is only a little different, and the inlet pipe is a different length. Minor modifications only.

I put a loudmouth on my 94 without the kit. You just have to cut the factory exhaust about a foot behind the cat and slip the LS1 exhaust on there. It's a PITA, but worth the $80 that SLP charges for the kit.

I would have used the kit (I still have it sitting here in the box) but I had my cat cut out and a straight pipe welded in and the guy cut the cut in front of the ball joint, so I couldn't unbolt it in the place where you're supposed to for the adapter kit.
