LS1 coils on a LT1?

there was a guy a while back on the forced induction section that had a twin turbo lt1 and he had ls1 style coils mounted around the fuel rails. is there some sort of write up on this because i think this would be a better opti replacement.

I think he has the LTCC system, invented by Bob Bailey (TurboBob). It doesn't entirely eliminate the opti; it uses the opti's cam sensor and intercepts the signal to the PCM. But it does fire eight LS1 coils and it has some nice features like switches to set the rev limiter and retard the timing. As for the coils, you just gotta get creative. I mounted mine on LT4 valve covers and I'm installing them now. The nice thing is that it's pretty easy to switch back to using the opti at any time. Hopefully I'll have time to finish the install this month.

This Twin Turbo Camaro at GM HighTech Performance has the LTCC ignition system.
