Unhappy LS1 Brake Upgrade Problems

Do I need to upgrade my master cylinder?? The car just doesn't seem to have enough power to apply the brakes! I know I b1ed it thouroughly Please advise Pedal hits rock bottom and I relly have to press to get anymore outta it, I can't drive it like it is because it's that weak?!?! And when I say rock bottom I don't mean to the floor After about 1 Inch of travel the pedal mid as well be on the floor cause it's going no further!

You don't need the MC. I did the LS1 brake thing and they are great! You have other issues, and will need to investigate further, because your brakes should also be great!

Both bleed screws tight? Did you have any previous brake problems before the install? Bled the ABS unit also?

My brakes were never powerful, How do I tell if it's My ABS Module?? My booster does Hold Vacum I guess that's not proof thatit's working though

Are the pads and rotors new? If they are a mismatched used set you could get very poor braking performance. If they are new, you may just need to "bed" them in. I know what you mean when you talk about really poor brakes. My original brakes were so lousy, I couldn't lock the wheels under any circumstance. This was corrected with a better pad; they were remarkable strong with a set of Carbon Metallics. Of course, they became much better again with the LS1 kit.
