LS1 brake upgrade hose questions

I have all the parts to do the upgrade, including the LS1 brake lines. Should I use the LT1 lines and bend the brackets as others have stated, or use the LS1 lines? Do the LS1 lines fit properly in the place of the LT1 lines, or do I have to do any modifications? Please help, i don't know which ones to use. Sorry for so many questions.

Thanks,
JJ

I just bent the brackets I think the LS1 hoses will work too though. You want to use a flare wrench to get them off though. You do have to use the LS1 banjo bolt the LT1 is no long enough. Hope that helps

Anybody install the LS1 brake hose? Does it just screw into the stock LT1 location, or is any modification necessary?

Thanks,

I used the LS1 lines on the front upgrade. I do have a problem with them because the bracket hole is cut with notches to hold the LT1 lines. Unfortunately the LS1 lines I have are not cut the same way. For now they pass throgh the bracket, but are not locked in there. This may be a 93 only thing also so please post if the LS1 lines lock in there like they are supposed to.

I did not like how tight the hoses were going to be. So I went to the local auto parts store and rummaged through the brake hose catalog, found the length I was looking for, then went to shelf to find the right ends. It took a couple of times of checking between the catalog and the shelf. I had the full help from the guys there. It gave me a little piece of mind knowing that there is plenty of slack at full droop and turn. It cost me around $30 -$40 if I recall.

Cool. I didnt know you could do that. Which parts store did you go to.

Orignally my hoses were secured with a metal clip.
How did you secure the hoses to the brackets?
