LS1 brake conversion?

LS1 brake conversion?
I am thinking about changing my brakes to ls1 since i need a new steering knuckle and my rotors have minor heat cracks. I was wondering if my pads off of my lt1 brakes will work with the ls1 because i just bought good ceramic ones with a lifetime warranty for 50$ so it would be a waste to have to buy new pads which i probably would have to do with a new kit anyways.
So, can i use my lt1 pads or not? (Just changing the front ones for now).

nope, did this swap on my car. you'll need
ls1 spindles, calipers, pads, caliper brackets. easiest thing to do is get it all from one place (i.e. salvage yard.) i then added autospecialty crossdrilled rotors and some nice red caliper paint. works great, looks killer.

Are you sure you need the brackets? I just bought a set of ls1 spindles for 40 bucks and i allready have a set of calipers and rotors, but dont the calipers just bolt onto the spindles?

Some people confuse brackets as a part of the caliper. The bracket is just what mounts the floating pins inside of the caliper, and mounts the caliper to the knuckle. If you can just "mount the caliper to the knuckle" that means you've got a bracket already attached to the caliper.

OOH okay then, Sweet! Im so relieved now. This whole camaro 383 build up project is snowballing and that could of been the straw that broke the camels back. I got the rotors, pads, calipers, and "Caliper brackets" for free and i paid 40 bucks for both spindles.
Now i get to focus on the engine, transmission, fuel system, my aching wallet, and flaming credit card! lol
Thanks,
