I am getting ready to put my T56 back in. Figured since i have it down i would replace the tranny mount with a little stouter one. I have been told that the 1LE mounts are no longer mad but the LS1 mount for a T56 is the same things. Is this true and if so do i just need to order a LS1 T56 Tranny mount for my car?

I know that there are people that have said they are using the LS1 mount, so it must work.

 

I have heard toward the end (01-02) the 1le mount was the standard they were installing on LS1 cars due to so many problems with people braking the stock LT1/LS1 mount. If you are getting it from a dealer I would still ask for a 1LE, if they didnt list it just order a trans mount for an 02 Fbody, it will likely be a 1LE.
