You're going to bitch about 100 lbs?

As for more standard horsepower. Hate to break it to ya but the LT4 puts out about 360 stock.

the gen 3 engines are just more technologically advanced, sure newer might be better, but I like the older stuff. The swap sounds awesome man, very sleeperish

I've had both and as much as i loved my Firehawk.. I loved my LT1 a lot more. I will admit the LT1 isn't advanced as the LS1 but you can't deny the engine note of a cammed LT1.

BTW - Don't knock a truck that is faster then your car.

Off topic, but that GC SRT8 is gonna be sweet as hell. My woman and I have finally found an suv we can both agree on.

Okay, now that we've compared the sizes of Johnsons (and perpetuated the internet-old arguement of LS1 vs. LT1), let's see some pictures of the swap

I was thinking about LS1/T56 Swap but then I wondered would it just be better to buy a newer camaro?

I want to see any pics you took along the way and read a full write up of the process. The LSx motors are the wave of the future. The weight savings is the icing on the cake.

Re: ls1 in 1993 z28

the ls1 is a thing of beauty. from o-rings and interference fit to the coil ignition system. and the fact that i dont have to drop the pan or remove the intake to do a cam swap. but the motor is far from being a god. i leave that to a big block cant compete with bbc torque. will post pics

Yeah I m tryin to deside 6,000 in a lt1 or 6000 into a ls1.I think the ls would be faster for the price.I just need somone who done the swap thats close to help me on the wiring or man up and pay for the panless kit.Thats about all thats holding me back. Why not jus change the frontend on a lt1 car to make it have a ls1 front.

There is something very cool about retaining the LT1 front clip and having an LS1/LS6/LS2 engine....
