Lowering through Eibach, anything else to watch?
I'm going to purchase the Eibach springs to lower my car 1" - 1 1/2" all around, and I was just wondering if there is anything else I need to do? Will I need to reallign it? Will I have to purchase any other susp. parts, like an adj. panhard rod? Thanks guys!
Yes, you will have to get your car realigned.
If you're going with the Eibach Pro-kit. You might want to consider the LS1 kit. The front springs in the kit are linear instead of progressive.
You will also want to replace your shocks with something more matched to the springs.
My recommendation is to talk to Sam Strano.

hmmm
I talked to mr strano, and he suggested bilstein HD's, I just had a question. Are there two different sets of these, one for lowered cars, and one for stock height? Or could I go ahead, order a set of 4 now, install them, and later on down the road install the springs ( 1 or 2 months )?
Also, would I notice a difference with these new shocks at all?

Good choice on the Eibachs. When I did mine I went with the bilsteins. To my knowledge there wasnt anything special about them. The place I got them from knew what springs I was going with so maybe they just gave me the right ones but I dont think the standard ones would be a problem. At the time all I did was the shocks and springs and it drove fine. After the relocation brackets were installed I did notice a difference in traction so I would reccomend that as well. Anything else would be just a compliment to the other parts. Good luck and enjoy. It made my car so much more fun to drive.

check out SLP, they have a good $700 or so set up thats pretty comprehensive.......i would be buying that myself right now, but that was before my engine decided to have diariha on itself.
Yeah listen to Sam, he knows what he's talking about. I have a lot of friends who dropped their car with a Pro Kit and some SLP Bilsteins and love it, they're like the HDs but with supposedly a better ride on the street.
Also check out the DMS springs (they have a post in the group buy section). They drop the car a little lower than the Pro Kit, and are supposed to have a much better spring rate for street/strip cars. Check out what a lot of the members said about them, I'm ordering mines!

I installed the Pro Kit with Bilstein HD's last year and am very happy with the setup. I would definitely recommend doing shocks and springs together, the fronts especially are a pain so may as well do it once. I honestly didn't notice much of a difference in the ride quality but it did corner a lot better.
I also installed adj panhard rod and relocation brackets - I would say the panhard rod is optional, but I definitely noticed a traction difference (in everyday driving) when I installed the relocation brackets.

An adjustable Pan hard rod is a good buy just because when you lower the car the stock rod pushes the rearend to one side. I think its the drivers side tire will stick out more the the passenger side. This can put a bind on your U joints. I noticed with mine after lowering that the tire stuck out about 1/2 inch or on inch on the drivers side.
I have The BMR panhard bar, sub frame connectors, relocation brackets, lower control arms.

linear vs. progressive- the difference is fairly self explanatory but what about the pro's and con's?
I think the linear would be stiffer at their resting ride height (no extra g's), for sharper corner carving but a little harsher ride.
The progressive springs would be softer at their resting ride height, better for drag racing and a little smoother ride.
Anybody else?

I think thunderracing has a lowering package on sale right now, $350 for Eibachs, an adjustable panhard bar and BMR relocation brackets.
Its definately a good deal and gives you everything you need.
