Lowered Cars...New LCA needed?

I recently lowered my 96Z28 with the eibach Pro-kit and also installed the Koni SA's.

Please educate me as to the neccisity to replace the LCA's and add a Panhard Rod.

Thanks

The stock lower control arms are simply pressed steel and are subject to flex. Upgrading to some lower control arms prevents this flex and puts more power to your wheels.

You should also get some relocation brackets since you're lowered. I would recommend getting boxed lower control arms and weld-in relocation brackets. Checkout http://www.norcalstreet.com for some pricing on these or shoot me an email at mike@norcalstreet.com

An adjustable panhard bar is needed to align your rearend.

My understanding is that you don't need to replace the LCAs, but rather install relocating brackets to make up for the drop in suspension.

The pan hard rod helps to stiffen the side to side motion of the car when turning. The stock one isn't as strong as most aftermarket units. Changing the pan hard rod can help keep the car from rubbing tires in the wheel wells.

This is a picture of what the BMR relocation bracket looks like installed. These are the bolt in type. Just look at your control arms and the relocation bracket will be attached between the control arm and rearend.
