Lower alternator bracket

Do I need to reuse the mounting stud and the lower mounting bracket for the alternator when doing a header install? Its the front bolt on the passenger side header. I'd rather use a locking header bolt here but don't see how to do that and retain the bracket.

I left that bracket off when doing my header install. No problems yet with running it that way, the other brackets are more than enough to hold the alternator tight.

Re: Lower alternator bracket

Been running mine without that bracket for years now no problems...I know others that have done the same.
