Low oil pressure on gauge

I just finished doing a clutch swap. The car hasn't run since last august. It started right up and I hear no audible ticking of knocking. The gauge shows almost no oil pressure at idle and only reads about quarter way it higher rpms. I drove around for about a half an hour without any excessive heat or noise coming from the engine. Could my sensor be bad?

i would try the sensor first then maybe hook a mechanical gauge on there to be sure its not the gauge doing wierd things

Re: Low oil pressure on gauge

if it were me..the 1st thing I would do is change to oil. Then get a mech gauge and see if your gauge is off (or buy a 20$ sensor) But change your oil. been sitting in there almost a year and hasnt been touched yeah but thats just my $.02
