Low mph at track..possible ideas..

Low mph at track..possible ideas..

I have a 96 z28 vert.Raceweight of 3775.Mods were tb bypass,cold air ,holley powershot air filter, magnaflow,hpp tuning out,160 stat,slp fan switch,gms maf,maf translator,3.42 gears,its an a4.nittos drag radials had 17 inch crome firehawk rims for race day.

I was wondering it seemed my mph was low.Only got 95 and correcting for altitude would be think about 96mph or slightly higher.Shoud my vert with above mods do over a 100mph?

I have autotap and didn't have hardly any knock maybe 1 or 2 counts nothing higher.I have no misfires showing on my autotap either..zero.

Car idles,starts and seems to run great.I have installed new fuel filter recently,have cleaned injectors frequently with redline injector cleaner.

I think car is on original plugs and wires.I am waiting to get a delteq to change out wires and plugs since plug changes aren't much fun in lt1s..

I kept leaning the car at the track without any increase in knock and still the mph stayed at 95.I even got 95 or very close to it with 60fts from 2.18 to 2.34???

There might have been headwind that day.No other lt1 to compare too.Buddies ls1 with long tubes and no cam or heads but other bolt ons and six speed ran a best of 2.24 and 13.4 with a 107 mph.

A Na built up sunfire ran a 95mph quarter same as me..!!! WTF!! HE GOT A 13.99 and think a 13.87.He did have slicks and did get like a 1.9 60 ft though.

So any other ideas..oh one more thing.I have tazzo vpc like a g tech I tracked it and it said 2 tenths faster than track and 2.3 mph higher and 60ft was identical to track.I ran three runs that morning the track day was afternoon to suppertime.I got 13.88,13.93 and 14.01 at 99.6 to 101.5 and even if you take into account the tazzo variance that was still faster mph.

Appreciate any tips.I let the car auto shift some runs in overdrive and some in drive.
