Low idle problem??

Ok let me first say that I know I should scan my car first, since it has an SES light. And I have full intentions to do so as soon as my scanner comes in the mail which I ordered over 2 weeks ago from Harbor Freight.

Anyways, my car is having some issues at idle. It seems to idle at 500 rpms, but it should be at about 900-1000 with the cam I have. And it was doing just fine until this SES light showed up. Anyways, it seems to have a hard time starting, and the low idle deal. It also seems to run pretty rich. It seems to run better once the car warms up. I'm pretty sure it isn't an O2 because it would be on open loop during cold start up and the computer doesn't really rely on those much. So, I'm thinking maybe a burnt out MAF, or something else??? Do you guys have any ideas? Thanks for any help.

By the way, this is on a 1996 camaro Z28 with a 6 speed. Mods are normal bolt-ons, and a ZZ409 cam.

Sounds like either a sticky injector or your FPR has a hole in the diaphragm. Look at the vac hose on the FPR to see if it's wet. If that's ok, check the fuel pressure when you shut it down to see how long it holds. Do you notice if it cranks longer than normal when you try to start it? Also have you looked at the EGR?
