Buddy, you really aren't that far off. Not to mention, I think you are taking for granted where it really counts... You run 116 in the 1/4! That's not too shabby for an NA 350.

I made 340 rwhp through and automatic with the stock injectors and they weren't maxed out.

I honestly don't know how much the airfoil is worth.

12.5/1 +/- ~.25 throughout the rpm range.

was your car dyno tuned, tune yourself, or a mail order tune?

I tuned it myself on the dyno.

Using TunerCAT, it's really very easy to do.

I don't even bother checking the O2 mv. They aren't accurate. In my opinion, wide-band O2, EGT, and Max dyno power are the only ways to accurately adjust A/F ratio.

Did you make sure the knock sensor wasn't pulling out timing? Also, instead of buying new injectors, get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and turn the fuel pressure up to 46-48 PSI with the manifold vacuum detatched. It should be around 38-39 with the line attached at idle.

While the computer ignores the O2's at WOT, you shouldn't since they can still be helpful in tuning the car. Don't get me wrong, WBO2 is still the best way, but the O2's in the car can still be helpful.

I agree...but, can you check and let me know what a 12.5 equals on the o2's in mv at wot? i wanted to compare that do my car.

97WS6SCharged... the knock sensor is not pulling timing, its compeltely zeroed out in the pcm tables.

Hi Guys,

I've been doing NXz28's tuning. I have been tuning on cars, mainly turbo buicks for about 5 years. I have always managed to find a lot of hidden power in the tuning part of a car. However, Dom's car is not responding like normal.

So, what seems to be the best A/F ratio for power? Also, does anyone have a recording showing their O2's for that A/F?

I agree, using the stock O2's are not the *best* way of tuning and a Wideband is really the best way. However, I have always been able to get pretty close with them to the desired A/F, as I can correlate what is shown to what is the actual A/F.

hey bob, glad to see you joined the board......we have a lot of interesting discussions that go on here, especially in the "advanced tech" and "forced induction" forums.

The vavletrain did you put in: new lifters, 1.6rr, etc. how much did you build that. Because if you have only an ok vavletrain and don't know how good the heads are w/stock vavles, no dnyo tune, that could account for the 25-30 rwhp your looking for. Right now I would throw an electirc water pump on, 1.6rr(if you don't have em) and dyno tune it. That could make 15hp more.
