Low coolant light stays on...

Hello all. The low coolant light keeps coming on in my dad's '97 WS6 despite having plenty of fluid (I've checked it cold and hot, running and not.) Any ideas???

Most likely, your low coolant sensor gone bad. It's located on your radiator. It's normal for those to go bad.

The low coolant sensor could be bad. You can either replace it or just unplug it. Either way, the light should go off.

Those guys got it right, I have replaced the low level sensor in about 10 cars now, they go bad alot after a few miles. That has always been the problem.

yip, mine is the same at the moment, light is on and fluid level is good. I need to replace mine, but it is just expensive $40 for the sensor. Does anyone know where to get it cheaper? I think I need the 2 connector as I have a 96. Thanks

Here are the part numbers

Here is a link to replace it
