Low coolant light after WOT...

Ok, so some douche in a honda cuts me off after he passes me at probably 80 mph or so. Camaro's don't follow other cars, especially ricers, so I passed him doing about 120. Shortly after my low coolant light comes on. Car didn't overheat the rest of the way home which was about 4 miles. No smell of coolant. Didn't have time to check under the hood either. What do you all think? Thanks in advance.

They do go bad often. Both mine and my friend's lt1s have gone bad. Easiest fix: Unplug the wire from the sensor, it's on the side of the radiator by the battery. You can buy a new sensor and put it in as well, it will cost around $30, probably less. Just make sure you drain the radiator first.

I have same prob. Full of coolant and the light stays on. I was thinking that it had to be turned off with a scanner or something.

Probably just a bad sensor or connection.

It is not connected to the computer, so a scanner it not going to reset it.

Thanks for the help. Sensor is indeed shot; I'm going to replace it.
