low coolant light

low coolant light

my low coolant light is on all the time, i checked the coolant level and it's ok. what else could be the problem?

The sensor is most likely kaput. I wrote the P# down somewhere when I was cleaning up the engine compartment, I'll see what I can do in a minute about getting you a link to a new one.

Mine did the same thing. I havn't replaced it yet, but I think i was quoted $40 for a new one...

Yeah, mine's been on for over a year. These sensors go bad all the time. It's not worth the money to me at this time to replace it.

Either went bad, or possible short. Mine was a short on the core support on the driver's side. It's where the bundle goes around, just needed re-wrapping...

I had the same problem but it was the hoses from the water pump. Probably just the sensor as mentioned. Try that first. If the car isnt over heating its probably the sensor. Good luck.
